Creating Contact Between People

We realise that People are the backbone of any organisation and here at Hillrich we like to think ourselves as being ‘People Experts’. The very first thing that people buy are people. Yes, it’s an old phrase, but in sales and marketing, there is none more true. In our opinion, no matter what type of organisation you are, we are ALL in sales, all of the time. Some are just better at it than others.…

So, with that, all we do at Hillrich is centred around people. Be that the Business 2 Business Conferences & Seminars we are running or at the soon-to-be-launched HillrichPeople – where we’ll help other companies to find people relevant to them.

In ‘old money’, Recruitment.

At Hillrich we’re pretty laid back and truly enjoy the work we do. We’re straight with all and expect to be dealt with straight in return. If you have any problems with assertive people, then working with Hillrich is not for you.

We will stick to our end of the bargain and expect all those that work with us to do the same. When we agree to anything, we expect to be held accountable for it from conception to completion. We expect the same in return from any organisation we work with.

When dealing with us, you will probably hear the phrase, “Can you put that on an email for me please?” or “I’ll confirm that on email for you.” This will simply be so both parties know exactly what is expected, by whom and when for. This negates any backtracking and gives all involved transparency from the start.

As an organisation, we have a wide range of skills to draw upon whenever needed.

Also, all images you see on this website are of REAL PEOPLE, those that have attended one of our events.

There are NO STOCK IMAGES used at all. Ever. All testimonials you read are unsolicited i.e. we didn’t ask for them, as that’s just too easy!

Hillrich is a proud advisor to Kirklees Grantmakers’ Alliance.

Hi Danny

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team for organising a fantastic exhibition.

Everything went well and my team really enjoyed themselves. The speakers I saw were terrific, so I think you all deserve a big pat on the back for a job well done.

Hi Danny

I just wanted to say (again) I thought you did a superb job today. I do loads of events of all types and interestingly the ones which often work least well are ones which get loads of funding and then 15 people turn up!

It was a great choice of venue and a good vibe from everyone I met.

Best wishes

Hi Danny

Congratulations on yesterday. Your event was a hit and everyone is still talking about it. Your team was fantastic. Everyone from you to the people on the phone. The staff at the Armouries were professional and polite, which is something you don’t see often.

Thank you for giving me the chance to present to the panel. Even though I didn’t get the money, I have learned a great deal and got the answers I was looking for. I was on a high after that as I have finally overcome my fear of public speaking. Afterwards quite a few people congratulated me and wanted to talk to me. Have some potential business to do workshops in Liverpool and Manchester.

I really appreciate you giving me a chance and coming to see me the Wednesday before to prepare for the Den. Not many people would have done that.

Hiya Danny

I just wanted to write to say a huge thank you for running such a fantastic event. Dreamstart was great, we made lots of new contacts and listened to several really informative seminars. I hope that you’ll run other events like this in future as we’d definitely be interested in going along to another. The Royal Armouries was a fab location for it too.

Thanks again and all the best

I found initially in particular, the morning the conference ran extremely well. It was an excellent seminar, well organised with excellent speakers that inspired.

Danny issued my invite out at a really late hour so he in particular put a tremendous effort to ensure it ran well and was available on the ground on the day.

Dear Danny

Many thanks for the opportunity to speak and exhibit at the DreamStart event in June. Well done on this project, it must have been a huge challenge and one very few people could have done as successfully as you.

I and my co-exhibitor found the event very well managed, with excellent venue, facilities and services and lots of business from the many attendees that came.Your own help, support and service was exceptional and I would highly recommend you, your company and your services to any other business.

Best regards

Kirklees Business Conference

Now in our second year, Kirklees Business Conference consists of a FREE  full day programme of business specific seminars, an exhibition involving close to 60 businesses, a clinic where you can cure your business ailments along with unlimited networking for all involved.

The whole ethos of KBC is to offer a greater support mechanism to Kirklees businesses.

KBC ‘10 will provide business leaders, entrepreneurs and start-ups across Kirklees with the opportunity to improve skill sets not only for themselves, but also within their companies.

No business becomes successful without the assistance of other companies and individuals; be that a product, a service or simply good advice. Kirklees Business Conference offers Kirklees businesses a single location where advice and assistance are readily available across one day via seminars, an exhibition and excellent networking opportunities with hundreds of companies present on the day.

Seminars on the day come from business celebrity Brad Burton, MD of the revolutionary 4Networking; Richard McCann, a true ‘inspirational speaker’ in a sea of those who don’t inspire and Sharon Wright, the Dragon Slayer, who had all five of the BBC Dragons fighting over an investment in her company, Magnamole.

Hi Danny

Just a quick hello to say how much I enjoyed the Kirklees Business Conference yesterday!

When I arrived (approx 8.45am), I thought, I will be in and out within two hours! I left at approx 2.45pm!  If it wasn’t for a previous booked appointment in Wakefield for 4pm, I am sure I would have been there until much later!

Nicky was fantastic! I was fortunate to talk with her very briefly after her gig!

Well done!!

Hi Danny

Hope you are well.

I really enjoyed the day….I was not feeling well at all and dragged myself to attend….the first speaker, Nicky, blew me away and then after every contact I made has proved to be a god send…..I’ve not wasted anytime and got meetings lined up as a result from attending!  I look forward to another event again next year.  You did a great job.

Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

Danny

I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for today’s conference. Unfortunately I had to head off and meet a client, so missing my booked slot for Carl Hopkins, however I thoroughly enjoyed Nicky Pattinson’s presentation/story and took a lot away from it.

Having only established my business at the beginning of 2009, and prior to that held senior finance positions in companies located outside of Kirklees, I had little experience of the business community in and around the area. After today’s event, I’m under no illusion that the local business community is thriving.

Thanks again for a great conference, and hope to meet you soon

Yorkshire Mafia

The Yorkshire Mafia, founded by Geoff Shepherd,  is the biggest Yorkshire Group on LinkedIn, boasting nearly 3,000 members, with over 30 applications for membership being received daily.

Coming Tuesday 15th March 2011 at The Royal Armouries, Leeds, is the inaugural Yorkshire Mafia Conference and here’s more info on this ground breaking group and Conference:

The Yorkshire Mafia began in November 2008 as a web-based initiative to help us all trade with each other. We’re one of the few social media groups to successfully cross the online/offline chasm and we now regularly get 150+ Mafiosi out to our Drinks evenings as we move them around Yorkshire.

We’ve been featured in The Business Desk, The Yorkshire Post, Radio York, The York Press and a host of other titles. The Yorkshire Mafia Conference is really going to draw in masses of attention.

Geoff Shepherd said: “It’s a terrific venue, the organisation will be spot-on, visitor levels will be high and the day will run with touch of Yorkshire Mafia flair.

“We have been working hard behind the scenes to pull this together. There will be a full day of Seminars, 78 exhibitors and well over 1,000 delegates – all gathered together to network, learn and do business.

“Delegate tickets will be free and are open to non-Mafiosi. We’ve some superb Seminars/Speakers lined up, including the first ever (at any Conference anywhere) Billion Pound Panel!

“We’ll run an evening Mafia networking event too – in the same style/vibe as our Drinks Evenings so we all get chance to relax and build on a successful day.

“Announcements on Sponsors, Speakers and Seminars will be released within the coming weeks and months. In the meantime, we’ll be busy building two Mafia specific websites – one for the Group itself and one for the Conference.”

There has been a tremendous amount of interest, surrounding the Conference, from both within and outside of the Mafia. It’s going to be a special event in Yorkshire’s business calendar as we showcase the cross-sector skills, expertise and success of our Yorkshire businesses after the worst recession in decades.

The Yorkshire Mafia is well underway. We are co-ordinating online and running targeted offline events through 2010 and beyond. Several smaller copycat groups have sprung up with a “similar” message/ethos/geography since we began our efforts so we must be doing something right!

All Exhibition Stands are offered on a first-come-first-served basis and the prices for Exhibiting are:
2m x 2m Stand = £695.00 +VAT
3m x 2m Stand = £795.00 +VAT

Click here to view the Exhibition Floor Plan

Any queries on any aspect of the Conference and all those wishing to book at stand at the event should contact Danny Matharu on danny (at) theyorkshiremafia.com or 07904 873 202. He will talk you through the floor plan, which stands may be more relevant to you and how to go about putting your name on one.

Kirklees Summit

Run quarterly throughout the year and working on an ‘Invite Only’ basis, Kirklees Summit is run as a panel Question and Answer session, like BBC’s ‘Question Time’. Taking place within the Fantastic Media Suite at the Galpharm Stadium, key Kirklees stakeholders sit on the panel facing an audience of approximately 75 of Kirklees’ most influential business people.

More than seventy key Kirklees business people were in attendance at the first Kirklees Summit, gathered to debate the district’s business climate.

Kirklees Summit is sponsored by Kirklees Council, Fantastic Media, Ramsdens Solicitors and Kirklees Grantmakers’ Alliance. Further Summits will take place in September 2010, November 2010, February 2011 & May 2011.
